Hole 1, 370 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 5.
Generous opening hole, slight dogleg left with bunkers on the inside corner with a
challenging two-tiered green.
Hole 2, 456 Metre Par 5, with a stroke index of 17.
Water in play off the tee. A good drive here down the right-hand side will enable
the long hitters to reach the green in two setting up an eagle chance.
Hole 3, 357 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 7.
An interesting hole requiring precision off the tee with water down all the left-
hand side. The approach need to be kept right as the green slopes away to the
back left-hand side.
Hole 4, 154 Metre Par 3, with a stroke index of 15.
A spectacular water carry par 3, with the water weaving around the left-hand
side and back of green. Left side of green is the safe option.
Hole 5, 377 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 1.
Tough driving hole with water left and trees right of the fairway. The green is
also heavily guarded by bunkers.
Hole 6, 333 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 9.
One of the shorter par 4?s on the course, but a decision has to be made whether
to take on the hole with driver and bring the water into play or lay up and leave a
longer second shot to a huge undulating green.
Hole 7, 139 Metre Par 3, with a stroke index of 13.
Another beautiful looking par 3, with a water carry to a back to font sloping green
with a brutal pin position at the back.
Hole 8, 465 Metre Par 5, with a stroke index of 11.
A big drive required to be able to take on the water carry for your second and go
for the green. For the shorter hitter, aim left-hand side towards the bunkers,
then
a mid iron to lay up.
Hole 9, 397 Metre Par 5, with a stroke index of 3.
Long par 4 requiring a well stuck tee shot just left of the fairway bunker. Big
green with two halves, front sloping severely back to front and back sloping
away.
Hole 10, 357 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 16.
An easier tee shot with the only danger bunkers on the right-hand side followed
by a short or mid iron into a large green.
Hole 11, 471 Metre Par 5, with a stroke index of 18.
The water down the right-hand side of the fairway steers you toward the
bunkers on the left-hand side of the fairway. However, a well-positioned drive
and fairway wood, to a well-guarded green, will set up a birdie chance.
Hole 12, 192 Metre Par 3, with a stroke index of 2.
Toughest par 3 on the course with part water carry, to a two-tiered green. Heart
of the green is the play at all times.
Hole 13, 354 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 6.
One of the prettiest holes on the course, with water skirting the right-hand
side of
the fairway and huge gum trees on the left-hand side. A well-positioned drive will
allow you to play a short iron into a receptive green.
Hole 14, 331 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 14.
Although one of the shortest par 4?s on the course, you will have to be wary of
the water on the right-hand side of the fairway and the bunkers will positioned
down the left-hand side. A definite birdie hole from the fairway.
Hole 15, 355 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 4.
A very tough par 4 dogleg right around a water hazard. The player will have to
be wary as to how much water to drive over, as too far to the left will leave a
tough shot through the gum trees to a well bunkered green, sloping left to right.
Hole 16, 158 Metre Par 3, with a stroke index of 12.
Another good par 3 hole, with water coming into play down the left side and
playing to a well bunkered, but very large green.
Hole 17, 511 Metre Par 5, with a stroke index of 8.
The longest par 5 on the course. Water all the way up the right-hand side and
bunkers down the left-hand side. This hole is all about accuracy.
Hole 18, 334 Metre Par 4, with a stroke index of 10.
Perhaps the shortest par 4 on the course but certainly not the easiest. Water
runs along the right-hand side requiring a precise tee shot followed by a water
carry second to an almost island green. A birdie finish is possible in front of
the
awe-inspiring Colonial Clubhouse.
