Spraying pre-emergent herbicide on fairways to eliminate the germination of wintergrass (poa annua) which eliminates germination for 10 weeks and includes liquid fertiliser to promote colour and stimulate growth of existing couch.  Plant holes are being dug in the 15^th and 13^th greenside gardens for new plants.  Herbicide applications are being applied in the rough.  Aquatic weed spraying of Salvinia and Red Azolla is being completed in the 6^th & 7^th lake.  Newly appointed Greenkeeper Luke Helm has started this week and has settled in nicely.
